Aphid-control decisions? There’s an app for that.

Knowing whether to apply an insecticide depends on the economic threshold of the pest population. In other words, it requires deciding whether the amount of damage caused by the insects is going to cost more than a control solution. The Aphid Advisor, developed by Rebecca Hallett (UofG), Christie Bahlai (UofG; current institution Kent State University) and Tracey Baute (OMAFRA), is an app that helps make that decision easier.
