How it Works

  • Nodulator XL inoculant contains Rhizobium leguminosarum biovar viceae, a highly efficient, more active strain of rhizobium, selected to perform on pea and lentil crops for increased yield potential.
  • The rhizobia help to maximize nodulation resulting in increased fixation of nitrogen for higher yield and protein potential.
  • The product provides a reliable inoculant that is guaranteed to contain a minimum of 80 million rhizobia per gram.

Application Tips

  • Do not mix granular inoculant with granular pesticides or fertilizers during planting.
  • Remove any unused granules from the hopper box at the end of each days planting. Do not allow granules to sit in a hopper overnight.
  • Environmental conditions may affect flowability of the product. Regularly check metering system to ensure proper flow.

When to Apply

Granules should be applied directly below the seed, in-furrow.

How Much to Apply

One bag contains 22.6 kg, enough to treat from 10.6 acres (7” rows) up to 18.5 acres (12” rows).

One Q-Pak contains 364 kg (mini-bulk) and will treat from 170 acres (7” rows) up to 296 acres (12” rows).

Directions for use

  • Apply granular inoculant directly to the furrow at a rate of 28.5 g/304 linear row meter (5.3 kg/ha for 17.8 cm row width), (1 oz./1000 linear row feet or 4.7 lbs/acre for a 7 inch row width).
  • Do not mix granular inoculant with granular pesticides or fertilizers during planting.
  • Product must not be applied at a depth that is less than the planting depth of the seed.
  • For calibration purposes, this product has a bulk density of 0.90 grams per cubic centimeter (56 pounds per cubic foot).
