How it Works

  • Lance AG utilizes two modes of action with active ingredients from Group 7 and 11 for effective, broad-spectrum disease control.
  • The Group 7 active ingredient, Boscalid, works by starving the fungi of oxygen for effective action against a range of target diseases including Sclerotinia.
  • The Group 11 active ingredient, Pyraclostrobin, has systemic properties, allowing movement to control disease on both sides of the leaf while delivering the unique benefits known as AgCelence that include disease control, increased growth efficiency and better management of minor stress.

Application Tips

  • Lance AG should be applied preventively, prior to the onset of disease.
  • Apply when conditions are favourable for disease development.
  • Avoid application when heavy rain is forecast.

Rainfastness - 2 hours

Grazing
Do not graze or feed treated alfalfa to livestock

Pre-harvest interval
21 days after application for canola
30 days after application for chickpeas, field peas, and lentils

When to Apply

Crops Staging
Canola 20 to 50% flowering
Alfalfa (for seed production) chickpeas, field, peas, lentils 10 to 14 days after 1st application of fungicide (prior to the onset of disease and prior to canopy closure)3

3 Priaxor® fungicide is optimum for first application. Lance AG should be applied 10 to 14 days following first application of Priaxor, for best efficacy against sclerotinia and botrytis in pulse crops.

How Much to Apply

One case will treat 50 acres at the canola rate and 40 acres at the alfalfa (for seed production and pulse rate)

Crop Pest Application Rate
Canola5 Lance AG fungicide (1) 140 g/ac (346 g/ha)
Lance AG fungicide (2) 132 ml/ac (326 ml/ha)
Alfalfa, chickpeas6, field peas7, lentils6 Lance AG fungicide (1) 175 g/ac (432 g/ha)
Lance AG fungicide (2) 165 ml/ac (408 ml/ha)

Water volume for all crops

Ground application 40 L/ac (10 gal/ac)
Areal application 20 L/ac (5 gal/ac)
