When to Apply

  • Pursuit plus a burndown can be applied up to 30 days before planting or before the crop emerges for season-long weed control.
  • See the Pursuit label for other application timing options.

How Much to Apply

  • One 3.3 litre jug of Pursuit will treat 20 acres (8.1 hectares) at the rate of 168 ml per acre (420 ml per hectare) in early pre-plant.
  • When Pursuit is tank-mixed, always follow recommendations and precautions from the tank-mix partner label.
  • Apply at a rate of 10 - 40 gallons of spray solution per acre (100 - 400 L of spray solution/ha).
  • No additional surfactant or nitrogen source is required for Pursuit plus a burndown.

Mixing Instructions

  1. Use a 50 mesh (or coarser) filter screen.
  2. Fill tank with one-half to three-quarters of the required amount of water and agitate.
  3. Use a calibrated measuring device and add the required amount of Touchdown, Roundup or Gramoxone or other tank-mix partner.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. For early preplant applications to emerged weeds with Pursuit alone, a nonionic surfactant (Agral 90 or Agsurf) at the rate of 0.25% (v/v) must be added to the spray solution (e.g. 2.5 L of surfactant per 1000 L of spray solution. Fertilizer solutions, 10-34-0, 28-0-0 or 32-0-0 added to the spray solution at the rate of 2 L/ha will provide quicker burndown of weeds. Agitate.
  6. Using a separate calibrated measuring device, add the required amount of Pursuit herbicide and continue agitating.
  7. Fill the remainder of the tank with water.
