How it Works

Pre-plant/Pre-emergence

  • Quickly absorbed for fast, complete weed control.
  • Complements and improves your glyphosate application.
  • Fast activity on key broadleaf weeds.
  • Group 14 chemistry controls weeds resistant to glyphosate, triazine and Group 2 chemistries.
  • Optimizes the in-crop herbicide-fungicide timing in winter wheat.

Harvest Aid and Desiccant

  • Fast, complete dry down of dry beans and soybeans with reduced risk of regrowth.
  • Broad- spectrum activity and improved weed dry down.
  • Improved crop uniformity for a more efficient harvest.
  • Tank mixed with glyphosate for multiple modes of action in managing weeds resistant to glyphosate, triazine and Group 2 herbicides.

Pre-harvest weed management in cereals

  • Eragon LQ tank mixed with glyphosate provides multiple modes of action for control of perennials for cleaner fields in the next crop.

Application Tips

Eragon LQ is rainfast and will be limited by the type of glyphosate used. Follow the glyphosate manufacturer’s recommendation for rainfast guidelines.

Pre-plant/Pre-emergence

  • Always add Merge® adjuvant.
  • Use a water volume of 40 - 80 L/ac (10 - 20 gal/ac).
  • If weeds are large or densities are high, use a higher water volume of 80 L/ac (20 gal/ac).
  • Ground application only.

Harvest aid and desiccant

  • Use a water volume of 80 L/ac (20 gal/ac).
  • Ground application only.

Pre-harvest weed management in cereals

  • Use a water volume of 40 - 80 L/ac (10 - 20 gal/ac).
  • Ground application only.

When to Apply

Pre-plant/Pre-emergence

  • Barley
  • Corn (field, sweet)
  • Soybeans
  • Wheat (spring, winter, durum)
  • Oats

Harvest Aid and Desiccant

Crops Staging
Dry Beans1 Apply when 90% of the pods have changed colour from green to yellow and/or light brown. 80% - 90% of the original leaves have dropped. The stems are green to brown in colour. The pods on the lower canopy mature first, so the few remaining green pods will only be located in the top of the canopy.
Soybeans Apply when 90% of the pods have changed colour, with the lower pods essentially being all brown and the upper pods being a yellowish-brown or grey in some varieties. At this point 80% of the leaves should have dropped with the remaining leaves being yellow.

1 When tank mixed with glyphosate, consult glyphosate label or your BASF Sales Representative for information regarding use on specific varieties of dry beans

Pre-harvest weed management

Crops Staging
Barley (spring and winter),
Triticale,
Wheat (durum, spring, winter),
Hard dough stage with less than 30% moisture. A thumbnail impression remains on seed.

Refer to the Crop Specific Recommendations section of the label for additional details. Some soybeans cultivars may be more sensitive to saflufenacil and injury might occur.
2 146 ml/ha will only provide short season weed control and should be used in a program where a later application of a herbicide is anticipated. Refer to the Crop Specific Recommendations section of the label for additional details. Some sweet corn hybrids may be more sensitive to saflufenacil and injury might occur.
3 Glyphosate (required for optimum activity) is not included in the case.
4 Merge adjuvant is required and is not included with Eragon LQ herbicide.
