BASF Herbicide Price Adjustment

Odyssey DLX, Viper, Solo and Odyssey to deliver new value to growers for 2011 season.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, January 27, 2011 – Effective immediately, BASF Canada is announcing a price adjustment for Odyssey® DLX, Viper® and Solo® herbicides. For pea, Clearfield® canola, Clearfield lentil, and/or Clearfield sunflower growers in western Canada, this adjustment delivers a better opportunity to harness the highly effective and sustainable weed control offered by these herbicides.

“The value of the BASF herbicide portfolio is centered on innovative, multiple-mode-of-action herbicides,” says Chris VanderKant, BASF Canada, Western Herbicides Market Manager. “Our most recent herbicide innovations, including Odyssey DLX and Viper, deliver growers more effective sustainable weed control solutions. Using multiple modes of action, these herbicides provide better weed control, have a lower risk of weed-resistance development and improve rotational flexibility to ensure sustainable crop production”.

For growers using these products, BASF will continue to offer its industry-leading product rewards and customer support, including:

  • Savings through the GrowForward Rewards Program on Odyssey DLX, Viper and Solo, as well as significant savings on Headline® and Lance®
  • Comprehensive customer service and support through BASF sales staff, technical specialists, and the AgSolutions® by BASF call centre.

Growers should contact their retailer for specific price adjustment details. For technical product information on Odyssey DLX, Viper and Solo visit the Products page on agsolutions.ca, or call AgSolutions by BASF at 1-877-371-BASF (2273).
