With disease, it never hurts to be prepared.
If a healthy crop means a higher-yielding crop, why not protect your soybeans from stress and disease? Common diseases like septoria can amount to yield losses of up to 10% in susceptible varieties.1 All it takes is the right conditions, such as high humidity, early infection and prolonged crop stress. You can’t always predict the season’s conditions, but you can prepare your crop for them.1 Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, 2017.
Don’t give disease an in. Take it out.
For effective control, apply a preventative fungicide at early flower to early pod development (R1 to R3). When choosing a product, look for one that offers increased growth efficiency and minor stress management to further increase your crop’s yield potential. Concerned about resistance? Look for multiple modes of effective action with overlapping activity on diseases in your field.
Applied at R1 to R3, Priaxor® combines the unique mobility of Xemium® with the proven benefits1 of AgCelence® for control of key foliar diseases including septoria brown spot and frogeye leaf spot. Plus, it delivers results that lead to greener leaves, stronger stems and bigger, better quality beans – all leading to increased yield potential.21 AgCelence benefits refer to products that contain the active ingredient pyraclostrobin. 2 All comparisons are to untreated, unless otherwise stated.

With white mold, humidity isn’t the only culprit.
White mold thrives under moist conditions, but high humidity isn’t always the sole determining factor. Shorter rotations, high-yielding soybean crops and dense canopies all contribute to the disease.
Next up: Insect Management
Insects can cause serious losses in soybean quality and yield. By using the right management strategy, growers can prevent or minimize the damage caused by harmful insects to help realize the full potential of their crops.
