For corn, this moment is monumental.
For weeds, it’s their last.

Managing weeds is essential to minimizing yield loss, especially during the early stages of crop development. Lasting from emergence to the 6th leaf stage,1 corn is most vulnerable to competition for water, nutrients and sunlight during this period. Effective weed control is a must for increasing yield potential and setting up your fields for IP soybeans or dry beans the following season.

1 Sikkema, 2016

To make way for your crop, first sweep away the weeds.

Start with an effective burndown with residual control at pre-plant or pre-emergence. Follow up with alternative modes of chemistry for your in-crop application, if needed. This second pass will broaden the spectrum of weeds controlled, manage later-emerging weeds such as perennial sowthistle and improve harvest efficiency later on. Plus, it’ll reduce the number of weed seeds returning to the soil – important if you plan on growing IP soybeans or dry beans next season.

Pre-plant/pre-emergent application

Choose from one of our early-season solutions with residual activity, cleaning out the toughest weeds from your fields.

Integrity

Applied pre-plant surface,2 pre-plant incorporated or pre-emergence, Integrity delivers early season, broad-spectrum control of grasses and broadleaf weeds, including velvetleaf, yellow nutsedge3 and redroot pigweed.

2 Apply in tank mix with glyphosate.
3Pre-plant incorporated only.

Zidua SC

Tank mixed with Marksman® herbicide and/or glyphosate, Zidua SC herbicide offers residual control of germinating weed seedlings. Prevent yield loss from competitive annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, including common waterhemp, redroot pigweed and resistant biotypes.

For results you can rely on.

In-crop application

This critical period isn’t over yet. Follow up in-crop to keep later-germinating weeds at bay.

Armezon PRO

Applied in-crop with glyphosate along with atrazine or Marksman® herbicide, Armezon® PRO herbicide delivers rapid, wide-spectrum control of broadleaf weeds and grasses, including pigweed, lamb’s quarters and barnyard grass. Benefit from its wide window of application, multiple modes of action and residual activity.

Armezon

Applied in-crop with atrazine and glyphosate, Armezon delivers rapid, post-emergent control of broadleaf weeds and grasses, including pigweed, ragweed, barnyard grass4 and wild mustard.

4 Suppression only

Marksman

Applied in-crop with Armezon PRO, Marksman delivers proven control of tough perennials, deep-rooted annuals and key broadleaf weeds, including velvetleaf, ragweed and pigweed. Benefit from extended residual control of late-germinating weeds.

Zidua SC

When applied with Marksman and/or glyphosate in-crop, Zidua SC offers residual control of germinating weed seedlings soon after crop emergence. Target key annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, including resistant waterhemp and pigweed. Benefit from a wide application window up to 4-leaf in corn.

Get to canopy closure unhindered.

Adding Armezon, Armezon PRO or Zidua SC to your in-crop application helps to keep fields clean during the critical period for weed control. See the results for yourself.

Understanding the rise of resistance.

Every weed population has one or two individuals that can resist your herbicide’s mode of action. It’s a result of natural genetic variation, but weed management gets difficult when the resistant ones survive and spread.

Next up: Disease Management

With tightened rotations, reduced tillage and disease pressure on the rise, a well-timed fungicide program is key to managing yield-robbing diseases, increasing growth efficiency and minimizing the effects of environmental stress.

Ways to keep your weeds in check.

Whether it’s pre-plant/pre-emergent burndown or in-crop control, you’ll find solutions to clear out tough weeds when it counts most.
