Allison Friesen, M.Sc.


Allison Friesen is a BASF Technical Service Specialist (South Saskatchewan) with expertise in plant pathology and seed treatments. She has worked with BASF over the last 5 years in Research and Development as a technician and in Marketing through the Professional Development Program.


Allison has a BSc in biochemistry and biology from the University of Winnipeg and a MSc in Plant Agriculture from the University of Guelph.


She is the recipient of the NSERC Industrial Postgraduate Scholarship, the Bullick Scholarship in Food Grain Research and the Walter Leatherdale Entrance Scholarship. She is also an active member of the Canadian Phytopathological Society and has been published in both the Canadian Journal of Plant Science and The Journal of Crop Protection for her work in management of seed-borne diseases.


Allison currently resides in Regina and when not working, enjoys reading, hiking, and playing sports like curling and baseball.
